"The Divine Exists" is a collaborative exploration of cultural identity, displacement, and resilience. As an international student in the USA, I often struggle with the absence of my cultural roots in this foreign context. This piece embodies the struggle to maintain a connection to one’s heritage while navigating a new environment. The figure, adorned in shamanistic visuals and performing symbolic actions, serves as a bridge to my culture—an invocation of the divine to access what feels distant yet deeply ingrained. My role as the garment designer focused on creating pieces that visually represent this spiritual and cultural dialogue, blending traditional motifs with contemporary forms to tell this story of connection and identity.
